FIFTH WEEK OF SCHOOL INTERNSHIP PHASE 1(25.08.2025 TO 27.08.2025)

Week 5🗓️💫🌸
The examinations are ended in this week.. The main highlight was the onam celebration.
ONAM CELEBRATION 

I reached the school at 9:30 am. Today was the day of the Onam celebration. After arriving, we all joined together to make the 'pookalam', the main attraction of the festival. It took about an hour to complete, with the support of both students and teachers.Who helped in collecting flowers. The artsir drew the outline of the pookalam, which had a beautiful design. Later, it was filled with flowers of various colours. Once it was finished, we took photos with students and teachers and enjoying the happiness, beauty and friendship of the occassion. Everyone looked graceful in traditional attire, as we all wore set sarees.
         Onam celebration is incomplete with onam feast.For high school students, it was arranged in an auditorium near the school and for the lower primary students, it was conducted at the school itself.Teachers guided the students to the auditorium. I also walked along with them, helping to keep them in queue and until we reached the antitorium. Me also helped to serve food items. It was a large hall. So, there 16 were additional staffs for food delivery. The onam feast was very tasty with Variety of dishes like pickels, desearts, payasam etc were served on the banana leaf. After the feast, 1 returned to school with the students. My responsibility was to guide them back after the meal, which I carried out sincerely. After food, Principal played music for students to enjoy. The program continued for about half an hour. Later, principal announced the students to leave, after which I marked my attendence and left from the school around 2.30 pm.
          The day was memorable, filling both heart and stomach with joy, delicious food and wounderful experiences.Celebrating onam at school encourages togetherness, strengthens emotional and social bonds. From today until september 7th we have the onam vaccation.

WEEK 1 During the first week of teaching practice at TDHSS Alappuzha, I reached the school on time each day, signed the attendance register, and actively participated in academic and co-curricular activities. I worked under the guidance of the Headmistress, Sreeja B, and my concerned teacher, Shilpa Somasekhar, along with fellow B.Ed trainees. I handled regular teaching periods in Classes 8 and 9, conducted a pre-diagnostic test and remedial teaching on Parallel Lines, and introduced concepts using the Concept Attainment Model. I also taught topics such as Parallel Lines and Equal Lines, handled substitution classes, assisted in mid-day meal distribution, performed exam duty, and observed NCC activities. Special occasions like Premchand Jayanthi, Anti-Drug Awareness Day, quiz programmes, and a silent prayer for landslide victims were observed. SECOND WEEK OF SCHOOL INTERNSHIP PHASE 1- T. D. H. S. S ALAPPUZHA ( 04.08.2025 TO 08.08.2025)

✨ WEEK 2 🗓️ During the second week of my school internship, I reached the school on time each day and actively engaged in teaching, evaluation, and co-curricular activities. I handled several regular and substitution periods in classes VIII and IX, teaching topics such as Equal Division of Parallel Lines, Midsection, Triangle Centres (Orthocentre and Centroid), Multiplication Identities, and Product of Sums. I used activity-oriented and constructivist teaching approaches, encouraging active student participation and problem-solving. I also conducted an achievement test on Parallel Lines, assisted with exam duties, and helped in the distribution of the mid-day meal, including a special sponsored meal. Observing and supervising NCC parade training was another important experience. An eye-check-up camp was conducted for students during the week.
